San Francisco (full experience)

Hoy quiero hablarles de mi experiencia en San Francisco. Viajar es una de mis pasiones y cuando lo hago con amistades es una delicia.
Hay mucho que decir de este viaje que duró una semana y que sin duda fue una experiencia inolvidable.
Los momentos más memorables en San Francisco fueron:
1. El pueblo de Sausalito – la primera palabra que me viene a la mente es que es un lugar ESPECTACULAR! Un área turística, bien concurrida y cuyas casas quedan frente al mar. Esas escenas bellas que ves en las películas, sientes que las vives cuando caminas por las calles de este pueblo. 

2. «Napa Valley»- el poder visitar varios viñedos, conocer su historia y al mismo tiempo disfrutar de varias copas de vino no tiene precio. Uno de mis favoritos fue «Domaine Carneros» ya que se especializaba en el champán. Allí probé varios tipos desde rosado, blanco, espumoso y varios más.
En este sitio las chicas y yo hablamos de todo un poco: de los amores, los trabajos, experiencias de vida etc mientras estábamos rodeadas de la vista de los terrenos, los cuales son demasiado bellos para describir.

3. Calistoga, California- otro pueblo que visitamos para hacer el paseo en globo. Una experiencia única y que confieso me dio nervios al principio. Básicamente éramos como 10 personas y teníamos que crear balance de acuerdo al peso. La experiencia dura como una hora y 20 minutos. Después terminamos con un suculento «brunch» como parte de la oferta.

4. «Golden Gate Bridge»- el lugar más icónico de San Francisco! Si es impresionante verlo en fotos, es más increíble cuando pasas por el puente y ves lo grande e imponente que es, te deja maravillad@!

 Muchas personas lo caminan, algunos lo corren bicicleta y otras como yo hacen el «hop on hop off tour» ya que es una de las paradas oficiales.  

5. Tour de Alcatraz – una de las cárceles mas famosas en nuestra historia. El pisar una de las celdas que cobijó a grandes criminales como Al Capone fue bien impresionante. Sobretodo porque allí vivían familias de los empleados y te das cuenta que tuvieron una vida relativamente normal. Allí nos contaron la historia de como hicieron los criminales para escaparse astutamente. En general, les confieso que aunque el ambiente es turístico, al llegar allí era sobrio, cargado y triste. 

6. «Union Square»- el área donde nos quedamos el cual es céntrica, queda cerca de los trenes de cable eléctrico (transporte típico en SF), las tiendas, restaurantes y de todo un poco. Sin duda fue una decisión muy acertada el quedarnos allí.


7. Casas y áreas famosas – En San Francisco se graban muchas películas y series de tv, asi que no perdimos la oportunidad de ver los lugares o casas en las que se hacían las filmaciones. Ej la casa de «Full House», «Mrs. Doubtfire» y «The Pursuit of Happiness». Hoy día son residencias privadas y no tienen un letrero específico pero las identificamos gracias al internet, porque habían personas tomando fotos y sobretodo por los mensajes emotivos de los fanáticos. En especial cuando fui a la casa de Mrs. Doubtfire no pude evitar emocionarme y sentir tristeza a leer las palabras de los fanáticos sobre la partida de Robin Williams. (QEPD)

8. «Muir Woods»- un bosque monumental con árboles de troncos gigantes. Me encanta estar rodeada de la naturaleza porque te da paz y tranquilidad. Además uno reflexiona sobre las maravillas que Dios hace y en lo afortunados que somos por poder disfrutar de ellas.

9.Comida – ya sea para brunch, almorzar o cenar todo estaba rico! No me viene a la mente algo que no me haya gustado… comimos desde pasta, pizza, hamburgers, cheesecake hasta batida de menta y chocolate de la factoría Ghirardelli. Siempre es bueno preguntarle a los locales que sugieren y el verificar en la aplicación Yelp tambien nos ayudó mucho. En mi publicación anterior sobre SF les comento los nombres de los lugares. Sin lugar a dudas San Francisco es un lugar hermoso donde tienes mucho que ver y conocer. Si quieres aventurar, visitar lugares interesantes y sobretodo si eres fanátic@ del vino, aquí debes venir. Te encantará!

Today I want to share with you my experience in San Francisco. Traveling is one of my passions and when I do it with friends its a delightful experience. 
There is so much to say about this trip that only lasted a week and was unforgettable.
Incredible moments I enjoyed in San Francisco were:
1. The town of Sausalito – the first word that comes to mind is SPECTACULAR! A busy tourist area and where homes are facing the sea. These beautiful scenes you see in the movies, you feel that you relive them when you walk through the streets of this town.
2. «Napa Valley» – to be able to visit several vineyards, know their history and at the same time enjoy several glasses of wine is priceless. One of my favorites was Domaine Carneros and they specialize in champagne. There I tried several types from pink, white, bubbly among several others.Here the girls and I talked a little of everything: relationships, work, life experiences etc while we were surrounded by the view of the grounds, which were too beautiful to describe.

3. Calistoga, California- another town we visited for the hot air balloon ride. A unique experience that I confess got me nervous at first. Basically we were like 10 people and we had to create balance according to our weight. The experience lasted about an hour and 20 minutes. After we finished with a yummy «brunch» as part of the offer.
4. «Golden Gate Bridge» – the most iconic place in SF, if its impressive to see it in pictures, when you go over the bridge and see how big and imposing it is it, it will leave you breathless. Many people walk it, some run their bikes and others like me do the hop on hop off tour, as it is one of the official stops.
5. Tour of Alcatraz – one of the most famous prisons in our history. When you go inside one of the cells that habored famous criminals like Al Capone its very impressive. Especially because there lived families of employees who had a relatively normal life. They explained us the story of how did the criminals to escape with interesting details and audios. Although the atmosphere is touristy, arriving there was sober, weird and sad.
6. «Union Square» – the area where we stayed, is centrally located, near the train electric cables (SF typical transport), shops, restaurants and a little of everything. It was certainly a very wise decision to stay there.
7. Famous areas & houses – In San Francisco many films and TV series are taped, so we did not lose the opportunity to see places  where films were made. Ex The house of Full House, Mrs. Doubtfire and The Pursuit of Happiness. All are private residences and don’t have a specific sign but we identified them thanks to the internet, because they were people taking pictures and because of the messages left by the fans. A place that touched my heart was when I went to the house of Mrs. Doubtfire I could not help to feel emotional when I was reading the beautiful words from fans to the legendary Robin Williams. (RIP)
8. «Muir Woods» – a monumental forest with trees of giant logs. I love being surrounded by nature because it gives you peace and it is very relaxing. One reflects on the wonders that God creates and how lucky we are to be able to enjoy them.
9. Food – whether for brunch, lunch or dinner everything was delicious! I doesn’t come to mind something that I did not like. We ate from pasta, pizza, hamburgers, cheesecake to mint and chocolate from the Ghirardelli factory. It is always good to ask locals their suggestions and verify the Yelp app which helped us a lot. San Francisco is a beautiful place where you have a lot to see and learn. If you want to venture, know different places and you are a wine fan, you definitely must come here. You’ll love it!
