Que hay de nuevo #glamsquad?

Los tiempos han cambiado y me da tanto gusto saber que cada vez hay más diversidad en la industria de la moda. No importa que talla seas, tu cuerpo es único así que es importante aceptarlo tal como es.

El sábado pasado visité la tienda Delarge y tuve una excelente experiencia.

Delarge es una tienda enfocada en ropa 1x hasta 3x. Allí atienden por cita y como me llamo la atención su estilo moderno y diferente, decidí visitarla acompañada de mi bella prima plus, Nahira.

Tips para chic@s plus:

  • Viste de acuerdo a la proporción y figura de tu cuerpo
  • No tengas miedo a utilizar los colores en tu closet, no todo tiene que ser negro
  • Busca resaltar las partes que mas te gustan de tu cuerpo pero no escondas las que no… utiliza accesorios!!
  • Atrévete a probar estilos diferentes y sal de tu zona de confort

La próxima vez que quieras subir un selfie y recuerdes este post usa el hashtag #Ámateconacento y me tagueas en Instagram (lovecarlaj). Éste es uno de mis hashtags favoritos y tengo que admitirles que mas que eso, para mí signfica el amor y la aceptación hacia ti mismo.

What’s up#glamsquad?

Times have definitely changed and its amazing how we see so much diversity in the fashion industry. No matter what size you are, your body is unique so its important ypu accept it the way it is.

Last saturday I had the chance to visit DeLarge shop and I had a great experience.
DeLarge is a store that has clothes from 1x to 3x and to visit you have to make  an appointment. Since I loved their modern and funky style, I decided to go with my beautiful plus size cousin, Nahira.

Tips for plus size beauties:

  • Dress according to the proportion and figure of your body
  • Don’t be afraid to use colors, not everything has to be black
  • Always highlight your strong points but dont hide the ones you dont like… just accesorize!!!
  • Try different styles and step out of your comfort zone

Ipsy glam bag

Hola mi querido #glamsquad!!!!

Después de estar enferma la semana pasada, hoy vuelvo a la carga… 🙂

Quiero compartirles los productos que me llegaron en la bolsa de Ipsy de febrero (si me llegó un mes después, pero he aprendido que toma tiempo en llegar desde que me susbcribí por primera vez) Comoquiera me encantaron los productos  y de seguro le daré uso a cada uno de ellos.

Una de las cosas que más me gusta de Ipsy es que aparte de recibir productos,  cada bolsita que viene tiene un estilo chic y diferente.

Comoquiera, la espera vale la pena!!!

Aquí les cuento un poco de las cositas que me llegaron:

  1. Crema para la piel con olor a vainilla de la línea MOR. La loción se llama «Candied Vanilla». De verdad me encanta porque huele riquísima y nunca esta demás tener cremita, ya sea para las manos, codos o el resto del cuerpo. Super like!!
  2. «Primer» en aceite de Smashbox Cosmetics-  este producto se especializa en que minimiza las líneas de expresión en la cara y hace que tu piel se prepare para un maquillaje espectacular. Lo puedes usar durante el día y en la noche. (se siente bien suave en la piel)
  3. Lápiz labial de la marca Chella- El color que me llegó es «Passionate Pink». El producto tiene un olor a fresa y  se siente bien suave en los labios. Es ideal para el diario ya que es un color rosa pastel y combina con cualquier look.
  4. Brocha Luxie #221 es perfecta para darte definición o aplicar mejor el delineador de ojos. También funciona si quieres resaltar un color de sombras en la parte superior o inferior del ojo. (cerca del lagrimal)
  5. Esmalte de gel rosado – Esta fórmula hace que tus uñas se fortalezcan, se vean brillosas y ayuda a proteger tu uña natural.  Este producto lo seguiré utilizando por varias semanas para ver más resultados. Hasta ahora me gusta porque tengo la excusa para darles cariño, ya que a veces no las cuido con la frecuencia que quisiera.

Hey my dear #glamsquad!!!!

After being sick last week, I’m back writing again… 🙂

So now I wanted to share with you the products I received in my Ipsy February bag (yes, I got it a month later now in March but my experience is that it takes several weeks to get in the mail  since the first time I subscribed). I’m really liking the products and for sure  will using every one of them.

One of the things that I like the most about Ipsy, is that beside getting products, each bag has a chic and unique style.

The wait is worth it!!!

Here is a review of the products:

  1. MOR Hand & Body lotion – This cream is called «Candied Vanilla». It smells divine and its good to have it because you can never have too many lotions whether is for your hands, elbows or your entire body. Super like!!!
  2. Smashbox photo finish primer oil- This product helps reduce the lines of expression and it creates a good canvas for your makeup. You can use it in the morning and at night. (it feels really soft on your skin)
  3. Lip liner from the brand Chella- My color is named Passionate Pink. It smells like a cherry and its very soft on the lips. It is ideal for an everyday look since its a bright color that matches with anything you wear.
  4. Luxie #221 flat definer- its good to use for a better definition in the eye area, to better apply your eye liner or to stand out your eye shadow. (especially in the more humid area inside)
  5. Pink gel coat- this formula helps strengthen, it brightens and protect your natural nails. I will continue to use this product to see more results but so far, so good! I really like that it came in the bag because I don’t really pamper my nails as many times as I would like to.

Beauty Boxes 101

Hoy les escribo sobre un tema que me gusta mucho y se trata de las famosas cajitas de belleza que llegan por correo. Las mismas han cobrado una demanda increíble por su versatilidad, variedad, conveniencia y por ser costo-efectivas.

Te identificas con lo siguiente?

«Me encantaría recibir muestras/productos de belleza o de cuidado personal todos los meses»

«Mi tiempo es limitado y se me hace difícil enterarme de los productos nuevos»

«A veces me compro algo en la tienda, pero cuando me lo pruebo en casa, no me gusta como me queda»

«En ocasiones estoy arreglada súper linda pero no tengo idea para dónde ir y divertirme un rato»

  1. «My Fabulous Box» – Así como su nombre, es una cajita chic que ofrece productos/muestras de belleza y se distingue porque se trabaja localmente.Además, ofrece descuentos adicionales de distintos comercios. (Por ejemplo, en mi primera cajita recibí productos NYX, un esmalte plateado y hasta un cupón para un sandwich de 6″ de Subway, que chulo verdad?) Hay distintos niveles y precios por cada una asi que tienes opciones para escoger. Precio regular $9.99 en adelante    MyFABbox
  2. Merodea- Debes estar suscrita en Merodea.com para recibir la caja mensual. Una vez  esté lista, recibes un correo con un link directo para pedir la misma. De igual manera, recibes muestras de belleza, productos para el cuidado de la piel y hasta un cupón de descuento para asistir a un restaurante o evento. (Una de las cajitas que recibí tenía una oferta de 2 mojitos gratis en el restaurante Santaella…que divino!) Precio regular  $5.99         merodea box
  3. «Ipsy»- Esta es una muy reconocida a nivel internacional y de igual manera esta se enfoca en ofrecer muestras/productos de belleza, del cuidado de la piel o del cabello. Al ser un producto internacional, la variedad de marcas que ofrece es mayor. En este caso, el empaque tiene un tema (ej. flores) y llega en una bolsa de cosméticos con disenos variados. Precio regular $9.99       ipsy bag

Today I write about a topic that I really like, and it’s about beauty boxes sent through the mail. These boxes are very popular due to their versatility, variety,  and convenience. Also, very cost effective!

(For example, in my first box, I received NYX products, a silver nail polish and a coupon for a free 6′ sandwich from Subway, nice right?) There are different types and prices, so you have many options to pick from. Price start at $9.99
  2. Merodea- If you subscribe to the website, you can order it. When they are available, you’ll get an email with the direct link to pre-order. Its the same concept, you get beauty samples/products, promotions and discounts for skin care products- like Aveeno lotion, and a Lactovit bodywash. (One time , I received  2 free mojitos for Santaella restaurant, how divine!) Regular price $5.99
  3. Ipsy- It’s  internationally known, so it offers  a wider variety of skin care products and samples that aren’t so available, locally or in the states. (For example Hanalei, City Color, and Pacifica – which are based on naturally based mineral products) Also, instead of a box, you receive a bag with a different theme, every time. Regular price $9.99
